About Us

Tusk Care provides care and support to people in their own homes in Loughton and across Essex. We work with older people and younger adults, with people living with dementia, with people managing mental health conditions and with people who have physical disabilities or a visual or hearing impairment.

Most people come to us at a turning point. A fall, a spell in hospital, a diagnosis, or the gradual recognition that managing alone has become harder than it was. The question is rarely whether help is needed. It is how much, of what kind, and given in what manner so that it feels like support rather than a loss of independence.

We start with the day as it stands and what has become difficult, then build the visits around that. Personal care, medication, meals, household tasks and help to get out and stay connected are all part of it. We aim for consistency of carers, and we expect our staff to raise concerns promptly rather than assume somebody else has noticed the same thing.

We are registered with the Care Quality Commission and have not yet been given an overall rating. We say so plainly and welcome questions about how we work.
