About Us

Chandlers Homecare provides care in people's own homes in Epping and the surrounding parts of Essex. Our work is about making home a place where somebody can be properly supported, so that staying put remains a real choice.

We support older adults with the things that have become harder over time: personal care, medication, meals, keeping on top of the house and getting out when they want to. We support people living with dementia, where a familiar face arriving at an expected time does more good than any amount of organised activity. We work with people living with mental health conditions, where consistency and a relationship built over time count for a great deal, and with people who have physical disabilities, helping with washing, dressing and mobility in a way that leaves the person directing how it is done. We support people with a visual or hearing impairment, adapting how we announce ourselves and explain what we are about to do, and younger adults, whose support is planned around work, study, family and independence.

Wherever the rota allows, the same small group of workers visits each person, because familiar staff notice small changes and because nobody wants to explain themselves afresh each week.
