About Us

Right at Home Colchester and District supports people across the area in their own homes. We plan support around the way somebody already lives rather than around a standard package, and we keep the same carers visiting the same people wherever the rota allows.

We support older people with the everyday tasks that have become harder, personal care, medication, meals, shopping and getting out safely, and people living with dementia, where a familiar face and an unhurried pace matter more than anything written in a plan. We also work with people living with a physical disability, where good support is largely about making daily life workable again, and with younger adults, whose priorities are usually about getting on with ordinary life.

Continuity is what makes home care work. A carer who knows somebody well notices the untouched meal or the unsteady walk that turns out to be the first sign of a problem.
