About Us
At Astar Homecare, we provide person centred home care to people living in Colchester and the surrounding areas of Essex. We support a wide range of individuals, including older adults, younger adults, people living with dementia, those with learning disabilities or autism, people experiencing mental health difficulties, and individuals with physical disabilities or visual and hearing impairments.
We believe that staying in your own home, surrounded by familiar faces and routines, makes a real difference to how someone feels day to day. Our role is to make that possible, whether someone needs a little help in the morning or more regular support throughout the week. We work closely with the people we support and their families to understand what matters most to them, and we build care around that rather than fitting people into a fixed routine.
We are proud to have been rated Good by the Care Quality Commission, which reflects the commitment our team brings to every visit. That rating matters to us not as a badge but as confirmation that we are doing right by the people in our care.
Our team is made up of people who genuinely understand that coming into someone's home is a privilege. We take time to match our staff carefully with the individuals they support, because consistency and trust are at the heart of good care. When someone knows who is coming through their door and feels comfortable with that person, everything else tends to follow.
If you are looking for care for yourself or a loved one and are unsure where to start, we are always happy to have an honest conversation about what we offer and whether we might be the right fit. You can get in touch with us directly and we will do our best to help.
