About Us

Mersea Homecare provides care and support in people's own homes across Clacton on Sea and the surrounding part of Essex. We work with older adults, younger adults, people living with dementia, people with physical disabilities, people with loss of sight or hearing, and people managing mental health conditions.

Home care depends on three things going right. The visits have to arrive when they were promised. The person coming through the door has to be somebody the household knows. And the plan has to reflect what is needed now rather than what was agreed when we first met. We concentrate on those, because nearly everything that goes wrong in this work comes from one of them slipping.

The support ranges from short prompting calls to several longer visits a day covering personal care, medication, meals, company and getting out of the house. For people living with dementia we build on the routines that already exist at home. For people with sensory loss we adapt how we communicate and how we announce ourselves.
