About Us

Metro Homecare provides care in people's own homes in Chelmsford and across Essex. We support older people, adults living with dementia, people living with mental health conditions, people with a physical disability or a visual or hearing impairment, and younger adults.

Staying at home is what nearly everyone wants, and it is usually achievable for far longer than people expect if the right support is in place. That might be a single call each morning to help with washing, dressing and medication, or several visits across the day taking in personal care, meals, prompting and a bit of company. We agree the shape of it with the person rather than presenting them with a package.

Continuity is the part that makes or breaks home care. We plan rotas so that the same carers go to the same person, because familiarity makes personal care easier to accept and because a carer who knows someone will notice quickly when they are not themselves.

We are equally willing to tell you when things need to change. If someone needs more from us, or if the arrangement is no longer keeping them safe at home, we will say so rather than let it drift.
