About Us

We are Glenavon Care, a home care agency based in Chelmsford and supporting adults across Essex. We visit people in their own homes, helping with what has become difficult and leaving alone what they manage perfectly well.

We support older people and people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities or autism, people with physical disabilities, people with a visual or hearing impairment, and younger adults who need help with daily life. In practice that means personal care, support with medication, meals, shopping and housework, help getting out to appointments, and the company that often matters as much as any task on a care plan.

Reliability is what home care is really judged on, so that is where we put our attention. Arriving when we said we would. Staying the full agreed time rather than rushing off. Knowing how somebody likes things done and doing it that way. Noticing when something has changed and telling someone who can act on it, because a change spotted early often prevents a crisis later.

We try to keep the same small group of workers going to the same person, because familiarity makes all of that easier.
