About Us

Family Homecare provides care and support in people's own homes in Chelmsford and the surrounding parts of Essex. Our purpose is to make home a place where somebody can be properly looked after, so that staying put remains a real option.

The people we support have a wide range of needs. Older adults who need help with personal care, medication, meals and staying safe at home. People living with dementia, where familiarity and an unhurried manner do more good than anything else. Adults with a learning disability or autism, where the point is to build confidence and skills at the person's own pace. People living with mental health conditions, where a steady relationship and early recognition of changes count for most. People with physical disabilities, and people with a visual or hearing impairment, where we adapt how we assist and how we communicate. We also support people living with eating disorders, without judgement and at the pace they set, and younger adults whose weeks revolve around work, study and family.

We keep the group of workers visiting each person as small and consistent as we can manage.
