About Us

Brisca Healthcare provides care and support to people in their own homes in Chelmsford and across Essex. Our work is about making it possible for people to stay where they are settled, with support that fits the life they already have.

We support older adults with washing and dressing, medication, meals and the practical tasks of the week. We support people living with dementia, and we try hard to send the same carers to the same households, because familiarity does more good than any other single thing in home care. We also work with adults who have a learning disability or who are autistic, adults living with a physical disability, people with a visual or hearing impairment, people managing mental health conditions, and younger adults building independent lives.

Every arrangement begins with a proper conversation about what would genuinely help, and the plan is agreed with the person rather than handed to them. We review it as things change, particularly after illness or a spell in hospital.

Our carers are checked and trained before they start and supported by senior staff who are contactable when advice is needed. We keep in touch with families so that nobody is left guessing about how things are going.

Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good, which we treat as the level we are expected to keep working at.
