About Us

You and I Care supports adults in their own homes across Brentwood and the surrounding part of Essex.

The name is meant literally. Care at home works when it is a relationship between two people rather than a service delivered to an address, so we match carers and households thoughtfully and then keep those pairings steady. A carer who knows someone notices when things are not right, adapts without fuss and makes a visit feel ordinary rather than clinical.

We support older people and those living with dementia, adults with a learning disability or autism, people living with mental health needs, adults with a physical disability, people with a visual or hearing impairment and younger adults. Support covers personal care, medication, meals, housework and shopping, and equally the business of getting out, staying in touch and keeping a shape to the week.

We plan each package individually and we are honest about limits. Home care suits a great many people, and for some there comes a point where it stops being enough. We would rather say that clearly than let a family work it out the hard way.
