About Us
We are a home care agency in Brentwood, visiting older adults and younger adults in their own homes across this part of Essex.
For some people we call once a day to get things started safely: help washing and dressing, breakfast, a prompt about tablets, a quick look round. For others it is several visits. What stays the same is that we are guests in somebody's home and we behave like it. We knock and wait, we ask before moving anything, we put things back where they belong, and we do not rearrange a kitchen because it would suit the way we work.
Before anything starts we sit down with the person, in their own front room, and agree what the support covers and how they want it done. Families often arrive with a list of tasks, and the person usually wants to talk about something else. That second conversation is the one that produces a plan worth following.
We review properly when circumstances change rather than bolting extra minutes onto an arrangement that has stopped fitting.
We have not yet been given an overall rating by the Care Quality Commission, and we would rather state that plainly. Ask us how we recruit, train and check the people we send, and meet them beforehand.
