About Us

Carelink supports people in their own homes in Brentwood and across the surrounding parts of Essex. We work with older people and younger adults, with people living with dementia, with people who have physical disabilities or sight and hearing loss, and with people managing mental health conditions.

Most people contact us at a point of change, often after a fall, a hospital stay or a diagnosis. We begin by sitting down with the person and whoever they want present, working out what has actually become hard, and agreeing what would genuinely help. Sometimes that is a short morning call for washing, dressing and medication. Sometimes it is several visits a day with meals, shopping and company. Sometimes it is a few reliable hours that let a family carer rest.

Continuity is central to how we work. We keep the group of carers visiting each household small and familiar, and we introduce anyone new properly. Personal care is far easier to accept from someone you know, and a familiar carer notices quickly when a person is not themselves.

We expect concerns to be raised with us the same day, and we act on them, whether that means speaking to a relative, a GP or a social worker.
