About Us

Bluebird Care in west Essex provides support at home to adults in Brentwood and the surrounding area.

The people we work with include older people who need help to stay in their own houses, adults living with dementia, people living with mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, people with a visual or hearing impairment, people living with an eating disorder and younger adults who need support to live independently.

That is a wide range, and it only works because support is built around the individual rather than issued as a standard package. A morning call to help an older person wash and dress has very little in common with supporting somebody managing an eating disorder, and we assess properly, agree the support with the person, and change it when their circumstances change.

The practical work covers personal care, support and prompting with medication, meals, household tasks, shopping and help to get out and about. We aim to send the same small group of carers to each person and to arrive when we said we would, because that reliability is most of what makes home care work.
