About Us
We are 247 Live in Companions, based in Brentwood and arranging live in care and companionship for people in their own homes.
We support older people and people living with dementia. Live in support means somebody is there through the day and the night, which suits people for whom a series of short visits is no longer enough, and families where a carer at home can no longer manage alone. For others, a few visits a day is plenty, and we would say so rather than sell something larger than is needed.
Having somebody living in a house is a considerable thing, so the matching matters enormously. We take time over who we introduce, we listen to how it is going, and we change the arrangement if it is not right. The household's routines come first, not ours. For somebody living with dementia, the steadiness of one familiar person, and a day that runs the way it always has, is often worth more than anything else we could offer.
