About Utmost Care
We provide care at home in Basildon and the surrounding area, visiting people in their own houses so that life can carry on in familiar surroundings. For most of the people we support, the whole point is staying put: the same home, the same street, the same routine, with help in the places where it is genuinely needed. We work mainly with older people, and we also support younger adults who need help at home. Visits might involve help with washing and dressing, support with medication, preparing meals, keeping on top of the house, or simply company and someone to talk things over with. It is surprising how often it is the last of those that people say they had been missing. We put effort into sending the same carers wherever we can, partly because familiarity makes the whole thing more comfortable, and partly because a carer who knows someone well notices when something has changed. We have not yet been given an overall rating by the Care Quality Commission. We would rather tell you that plainly than talk around it, and we are happy to answer direct questions about how we recruit, train and supervise the people who will be coming into your home.
