About Stormwaves Care
We are Stormwaves Care, a home care agency supporting adults in Basildon and the surrounding part of Essex. We visit people in their own homes, helping with what has become difficult and leaving alone what they manage perfectly well. We support older people, people living with dementia, and people with physical disabilities. We have kept our focus narrow rather than claiming to cover everything, and home care for older and disabled adults is what we do. The work is practical: help with washing and dressing, support with medication, meals prepared properly, shopping, housework, and a hand getting out of the house. For some people that is one call a day and for others it is several. For somebody living with dementia, a familiar worker arriving at a familiar time is worth a great deal, so we try hard to keep the same small group of people visiting. We have not yet received an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. Until we have, please ask us direct questions about how we recruit, train and supervise our staff, what happens when a visit runs late, and who you can reach at the weekend. We would rather be judged on clear answers than on claims.
