About Us
Nurse Plus UK in Hastings provides care and support to people in their own homes across the town and the surrounding part of East Sussex. We work with older people, younger adults, people living with dementia, people with learning disabilities, autistic people, people with physical disabilities or with sight or hearing loss, people managing mental health conditions or an eating disorder, and people recovering from problems with alcohol or drugs.
That is a wide range, and what holds it together is a straightforward idea. Support should be built around the person's own life, in their own home, on terms they set. We agree a plan with each person, and with family or an advocate if they want that, covering exactly what help is wanted, when and by whom.
Our care staff are trained for the needs of the people they visit rather than given one general induction and sent out. Where someone has a condition that requires a particular approach, whether that is recovery from addiction, an eating disorder or advanced dementia, we make sure the people visiting them know what they are doing and work alongside the relevant community teams.
We keep rotas as consistent as we can, because turning up on time with a familiar face is most of what makes home care work.
The Care Quality Commission rated us good overall at our most recent inspection. Please call if you would like to discuss support for yourself or someone close to you.
