About Us
We are the care team at Woodlands Court in Cambridge, supporting people who live in their own flats here and in the surrounding area. We work with adults who have a learning disability or autism, adults living with a mental health condition, people with a physical disability, and people with a visual or hearing impairment.
What we offer is support that fits around somebody's own front door. People here have their own home, their own routine and their own visitors, and the support comes to them rather than the other way round. That covers personal care, help with medication, meals and drinks, and a hand with the practical parts of the day that have become harder.
The amount of help needed rarely stays the same. Some people want very little and simply like knowing someone is nearby. Others need several calls a day. We review it openly rather than leaving an arrangement in place because it happens to be on the schedule.
Communication gets close attention here, because understanding a person properly is what allows them to run their own life rather than have it organised around them.
