About Availl

We are a home care agency working across Cambridge and the surrounding area, supporting people in their own homes. The range of people we work with is broad. Older people, including many living with dementia. Adults with a learning disability or autism. People with mental health needs, including eating disorders. People with physical disabilities or with sight and hearing loss. Younger adults. People whose lives have been affected by alcohol or drugs. That breadth means we cannot work from a single template, and we do not try to. Support might be short daily visits to help someone wash, dress and take their medicines. It might be longer sessions that are mostly about getting out of the house and doing something worth doing. It might be help to hold a tenancy together, keep appointments and manage the parts of life that have become difficult. We agree what is needed with the person first and with everyone else second. We are also clear about what we are not. Where somebody needs something we cannot properly provide, we will say so rather than take the work on and manage it badly. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are looking for support at home in or around Cambridge, whether for yourself, a relative or somebody you work with professionally, please get in touch and we will talk it through with you.
