About Alina Homecare

Alina Homecare provides support at home for people in Cambridge and the surrounding part of Cambridgeshire. Our carers visit people where they live, helping with the parts of the day that have become difficult while leaving the rest well alone. The people we support include older people, many of them living with dementia, as well as younger adults, people with a learning disability or autism and people with a physical disability. Everything begins with a proper conversation in your own home about your routine, your preferences and what you would rather carry on managing yourself. We write the plan from your answers and review it as things change rather than letting it sit unchanged for a year. Visits can cover personal care, help with medication, cooking, shopping and housework, support to get out into the community, or company for somebody who sees very few people in a week. We keep care teams small so the same faces turn up, because being greeted by somebody you know changes the whole character of a visit, and for a person living with dementia it matters even more. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We treat it as the standard we are expected to hold rather than something to advertise, and we keep asking the people we visit and their families whether we are doing what we promised.
