About Us
Greenwood Homecare supports people in their own homes across Cambridge and the surrounding villages. We work with older people and younger adults, people living with dementia or a mental health condition, people with a learning disability or autism, people with a physical disability, and people with a visual or hearing impairment.
We start by asking how the household already runs, then build the support to fit it. Someone who has got up at half past six every morning for decades does not want to be told the round arrives at nine, so we work the rota around people wherever we possibly can.
Visits cover personal care, support with medication, meals and drinks, help with the house and shopping, and support to get out to appointments or into town. Covering the villages as well as the city means being genuinely reliable about timing, because people plan their day around when we said we would arrive, and we ring ahead when something has slipped.
We keep teams small and consistent. Care at home is an intimate business and it works far better when the person at the door is familiar. It also means somebody notices when a person is not quite right.
