About Matrixcare
We are a residential home in Malvern supporting adults with learning disabilities and autistic people, including younger adults, people with physical disabilities and people with loss of sight or hearing. The house is run as a household rather than a service. People living here have their own rooms and their own belongings, and they take part in deciding how the place works: what is cooked, when meals happen, what gets bought and where everyone goes at the weekend. For adults who have often had decisions made on their behalf, that ordinary degree of control is much of the point. Support is built around each person and what they want to be able to do, whether that is work, college, volunteering, getting out regularly, keeping up with family, managing money with a hand from staff or learning to do more around the house. Where somebody needs help with personal care, mobility or health appointments, we give it without taking over more of the task than is necessary. Where sight or hearing is poor, small habits matter: saying who you are on coming into a room, speaking clearly and not moving things about without saying so. Predictability counts for a great deal, so we keep staffing as consistent as we can. Respite stays are available alongside longer places. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall. If you are looking for a place for yourself or someone in your family, please come and visit.
