About Us

Evendine House is a residential home in Malvern for older people who need care, company and a settled place to live. We are a house rather than an institution, and the day here has the ordinary shape of meals, conversation, fresh air and rest.

Our care is residential rather than nursing. We help with washing and dressing, medication, meals, mobility and company, and we call in community health professionals whenever something more clinical is needed. We support residents living with dementia, and the things we rely on are unglamorous and effective: familiar staff who know a person's history, a routine that stays the same, food people recognise and reassurance repeated as often as it is wanted. We keep an eye on how people are eating and sleeping, because those are often the first signs that something needs attention.

Respite stays are available as well, giving family carers a proper break and letting somebody find out how the home feels before any permanent decision is taken.

Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please visit during an ordinary day, talk to the people who live here and ask us whatever you need to know.
