About Us

Manor House Residential Home is in Willenhall. We care for older people who need support with daily living, including those living with dementia, those with a physical disability and those whose sight or hearing is impaired. We also support some younger adults.

What we provide is help with the everyday: getting washed and dressed, medication given properly and on time, meals cooked here, support to move about safely and staff available at night. Around that, residents arrange their own days, and we try not to organise people's lives for them.

For residents living with dementia we keep the rhythm of the day predictable and the staff around them consistent. Where sight or hearing is impaired we keep belongings exactly where they are expected, approach people so as not to startle them, speak clearly rather than loudly and check we have actually been understood. Where people need help to move, we take the time doing it comfortably requires.

Respite stays are available alongside permanent places, which can give a family carer a genuine break.

Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Families across Walsall are welcome to visit. Please ring and we will arrange to show you round.
