About Us
Inglewood Residential Home is a residential care home in Willenhall, Walsall. We are home to older people and to younger adults who need support with everyday life, including residents living with dementia, and we offer respite stays for people who need care for a shorter period.
We try to run this as a house where people live rather than a place where care is administered. Residents tell us when they prefer to get up, what they like to eat, how much help they want with washing and dressing and how they want to spend the day, and the day is built from those answers rather than from a rota that suits us. Support with personal care, meals, medication and appointments is given quietly and with respect for privacy.
Dementia care runs through a great deal of what we do. We take time to learn a person's history, the people and places that matter to them and the rhythms that help them feel settled, because that knowledge is what allows us to reassure someone who is anxious rather than correct them. We keep the day predictable and explain changes in advance where we can.
Families are welcome whenever they want to visit, and we would much rather hear about a concern early than find out later that something was wrong. Anyone considering Inglewood is welcome to come and see the house on an ordinary day.
