About Ash House
We are Ash House, a residential care home in Willenhall, Walsall. We support adults with a learning disability, autistic adults and people living with mental health conditions, and most of the people who live here are younger adults. We also offer respite stays for people who need a short break or whose family carers do. We think of this as somebody's home first and a service second. People have their own rooms and their own things, decide how they spend their days, and are supported to keep up with family, friends, work, college and the interests they had before they came to us. Where somebody wants to build new skills, whether that is cooking, budgeting, travelling independently or managing their own appointments, we work through it with them at their pace. Support here depends on knowing people well. We take time to understand how each person communicates, what they find stressful and what helps them feel settled, and we share that properly with new staff rather than leaving them to work it out. Routine and predictability matter a great deal to many of the people we support, so we keep our staffing as steady as we can. Families and advocates are welcome and we would always rather hear a concern early than discover it late. If you are looking for supported residential care in the Walsall area, please arrange to visit and meet us.
