About Us

Our home at 187 Nursery Road in Sunbury on Thames is a small residential care home run by Elysium Care Partnerships. We support adults with learning disabilities and autism, including younger adults.

Because the household is small, staff know everybody here properly, including the things that never make it into a care plan: who wants an early start, who needs plenty of notice before anything changes, who likes company and who would sooner be left in peace. That knowledge is what makes the place work on an ordinary day.

The people who live here decide how their rooms look, what is on the shopping list, how the week is shaped and what they do with it. Support might mean personal care, help with medication, a hand with money and appointments, or practical assistance to get out to college, work, clubs or simply the shops. Autism support is worked out person by person, with attention to sensory needs and to the ways people show discomfort without using words.

Communication is central. Where somebody uses signs, symbols or their own particular way of making themselves understood, our staff learn it, and we never make a decision about a person without a real effort to include them.

Respite stays are available as well, giving families a planned break.

Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please contact us if you would like to visit.
