About Us

Here at Longford, we are proud to offer a welcoming and homely environment for the people who live with us, right in the heart of Horley, Surrey.

We support a wide range of individuals, including older people, younger adults, and those living with a learning disability or autism. Alongside our permanent residential care, we also offer respite care for those who need a short break or temporary support, whether that is to recover after a period of illness or to give family carers some time to rest.

What matters most to us is that every person who comes through our doors feels genuinely seen and respected. We take time to understand who people are, what they enjoy, and how they like to live their lives. Care is not something we deliver in a one size fits all way. It is shaped around the individual, their routines, their preferences, and the things that bring them comfort and joy.

Our team work hard to create an atmosphere that feels less like a formal care setting and more like a real home. Relationships between staff and residents are built on trust and familiarity, and we believe that consistency and kindness go a long way in helping people feel settled and secure.

We are pleased that our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission resulted in an overall rating of good, which reflects the effort and commitment shown by everyone who works here. We do not take that lightly, and we continue to look for ways to learn and improve.

If you are thinking about care for yourself or someone close to you, we would love to hear from you. We are always happy to have a conversation, show you around, and help you decide whether Longford might be the right fit.
