About Fenton Lodge

Fenton Lodge is a residential care home in Aldershot. We support older people and younger adults, including adults with a learning disability, autistic adults, and people living with a physical disability. The people who live here want very different things from their days, so we plan around the individual rather than running the house to one routine. Some are out regularly, at activities, at work or seeing family. Others prefer the house quiet and predictable, and we arrange support to suit either without making an issue of it. Support is agreed with each person using whatever way of communicating already works for them, whether that is speech, signing, pictures or something else, and we learn it properly rather than guessing. Help with washing, dressing, mobility and medication is given discreetly and at the time a person prefers. For people with physical disabilities we pay attention to the practical detail: moving safely, equipment that actually suits, and a house that works for somebody rather than against them. Health appointments are followed up properly. Families and friends are welcome whenever they want to come. Short respite stays are available, which can also be a good way of finding out whether we suit before anyone makes a permanent decision. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please get in touch if you would like to visit.
