About Us
Broadmeadow Court is a residential care home in Stoke on Trent. We support older people and younger adults, including people living with dementia, people with physical disabilities and people whose sight or hearing is impaired, and we offer respite stays as well as permanent places.
We try to make this feel like somewhere people live, not somewhere they have been put. Rooms are personal and people are encouraged to bring their own furniture and pictures. There is no rule about when to get up or go to bed, and nobody is made to join in with anything. Visitors are welcome at sensible hours without booking an appointment first.
Our staff help with washing, dressing, medication, meals and moving about, and they do it in a way that keeps somebody's dignity intact. Where sight or hearing has changed we pay attention to the practical adjustments, the lighting, the contrast, the way information is given, that make the difference between somebody managing and somebody being cut off.
For people living with dementia we keep things familiar and unhurried. We ask families to tell us about a person's working life, their habits and the people who matter, because that history is usually what helps us understand what somebody needs in a moment of confusion.
The Care Quality Commission rated us good at our most recent inspection. Please come and look round, meet the team and speak to relatives of people who already live here.
