About Us
Here at Langston Care, we are proud to be a care home based in Rugeley, Staffordshire, offering residential care, support for people with learning disabilities and autism, and respite care for those who need a short break or a chance to recharge.
We understand that choosing a care home is one of the most significant decisions a person or family can make, and we do not take that responsibility lightly. Our approach is straightforward: we get to know each person as an individual, understand what matters to them, and build their support around that. Whether someone is joining us on a permanent basis or staying for a shorter period of respite, we want them to feel genuinely at home from the moment they arrive.
Supporting people with learning disabilities and autism sits at the heart of what we do. We know that every person is different, and we work hard to ensure that routines, communication styles, and daily activities reflect each individual's preferences and needs rather than a one size fits all approach.
Our respite care provision gives families and carers the reassurance that their loved one is in safe, familiar and comfortable surroundings while they take the time they need. We believe good respite care benefits everyone involved, and we work to make transitions in and out of our home as smooth and settled as possible.
We are pleased that our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission resulted in a rating of good, which reflects the consistent effort our whole team puts in day to day. We are always looking at how we can improve and grow, because we know there is always more we can do to make life here as positive as it can be for the people who call Langston Care home.
