About Us
Faith House Residential Home is a care home in Bristol, on the South Gloucestershire side, providing a home for older people who need support with daily living. We care for residents living with dementia and those with a physical disability, and we offer respite stays for people who need care for a shorter period.
We want daily life here to be ordinary and comfortable. Residents choose when to get up, how to spend their time and what they want to eat. Meals are cooked on the premises and preferences are remembered. There is company for those who want it and quiet for those who do not.
Our dementia support is built on knowing people. We ask families to tell us about a person's life and habits, because reassurance works far better when it is familiar. Calm surroundings, staff who know the resident and an unhurried pace do most of the work.
We should be straightforward about our last inspection. The Care Quality Commission rated us requires improvement overall. We have not tried to talk our way around that. We accepted the findings, drew up an improvement plan and are working through it with closer oversight of the areas raised. We would much rather tell you ourselves and show you what has changed.
Families are welcome here at any reasonable time and we keep relatives properly informed. If you are considering the home, please visit and ask us the difficult questions.
