About Cherry Trees

We are Cherry Trees, a residential care home in Burnham on Sea, Somerset. We support older people and younger adults, including adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, and we also offer respite stays. We keep the place deliberately homely, and we plan around individuals rather than around a single routine. The people living here have quite different ideas of a good week. For some that means being out and about, seeing family, getting to the seafront, keeping up a club or a bit of work. For others it means a quiet and entirely predictable rhythm, and where change is unsettling we keep things steady and prepare properly for anything unusual. Both are reasonable ways to live and we support both. Our practical help covers personal care, medication, meals and mobility, and we are equally concerned with standing back where somebody can manage for themselves. If a thing takes longer done independently, that is their time and their choice. Respite stays give family carers a genuine break, and they let someone see how the place suits them before any longer decision gets made. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Visitors are welcome at any reasonable hour, and we would always rather hear a concern while it is still small. Please ring us if you would like to look round.
