About Us

Lancaster Court Residential Care Home is in Southport, providing residential care for older people. We also welcome guests for respite stays, whether to give a family carer a break or to help somebody regain confidence after a spell in hospital.

We are a residential home rather than a nursing home, so life here is domestic in scale. People choose when to get up, where to spend the day and what they eat, and help with washing, dressing, medication and mobility is given when it is wanted, discreetly and without taking over.

What makes a home work is a team that stays. When carers know somebody properly, they notice quickly when things change, they know what lifts a low mood, and families are not forever repeating themselves to new faces.

Southport suits our residents. Many have known the town for years, and getting out for a walk, a look at the sea or a coffee is part of ordinary life rather than an organised outing.

Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.

If you are looking at residential care in Southport, please come and see us, stay for a cup of tea and take your time over the decision. A visit on an ordinary day tells you more than any brochure.
