About Us
Mon Choisy is a residential care home in Oxford, providing a permanent home for adults who need care and support with the everyday business of living. We aim for a household where people are known properly rather than looked after efficiently.
Our care is residential rather than nursing. We help with personal care, medication, meals, mobility and company, and we bring in community health professionals when something more clinical is needed. Many of our residents live with dementia, and we rely on the quiet things that genuinely help: familiar staff who know a person's history, a routine that stays where it is and reassurance repeated as often as it is wanted. We care for residents with physical disabilities and those with a visual or hearing impairment, adapting how we communicate and how we help people move about so that dignity and independence are protected. We support younger adults too, planning their interests and routines on their own terms.
Respite stays are available, giving family carers a real break and letting somebody try the home before a permanent decision is made.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please visit on an ordinary day, speak to the people who live here and form your own impression.
