About Us

Rosalie is a residential care home in Banbury. We support older people and younger adults who need help with daily living, including people living with dementia, and we take respite bookings for families needing a short break or a period of extra support.

The home is run the way a household runs. People rise when they wake, keep their own furniture and photographs with them, choose how the day is spent and carry on with the routines that have always been theirs. Visitors are welcome through the day, and we would much rather relatives dropped in casually than waited for a convenient slot.

Dementia care rewards patience and attention to detail, so our staff learn the particulars: the favoured chair, the time of day that is hardest, what settles somebody when they are anxious, the conversations they never tire of having. Very little of that appears in a document, but it is the substance of the work.

When a person's needs are shifting we raise it early with the family rather than arriving with a decision already made.

The Care Quality Commission has not yet published an overall rating for us. We are glad to talk through how we staff the home, how we train people and how we handle concerns.
