About Us

Here at Lake House in Banbury, Oxfordshire, we offer residential and dementia care for older people, along with respite care for those who need a shorter stay. We are part of OSJCT, a not for profit organisation with a longstanding commitment to supporting older people across the region.

We know that choosing a care home is one of the most significant decisions a family can make, and we do not take that lightly. From the moment someone walks through our door, whether they are moving in permanently or joining us for a short break, we want them to feel genuinely at home. That means getting to know each person properly, understanding their routines, their preferences, their history and what matters most to them day to day.

Our team works hard to create an atmosphere that feels calm, friendly and secure. For residents living with dementia, we take particular care to ensure the environment and daily rhythms are supportive and familiar, helping to reduce anxiety and maintain a sense of confidence and wellbeing. Respite stays are equally important to us, and we aim to make those transitions as smooth and comfortable as possible, both for residents and for the families who care for them at home.

We were proud to receive a rating of Good from the Care Quality Commission at our most recent inspection. We see that as an honest reflection of the care we provide, and we continue to look at how we can improve and develop.

If you are thinking about care for yourself or someone you love, we would always encourage you to come and visit us. A conversation over a cup of tea tells you far more than any brochure can, and we are always happy to show you around and answer any questions you may have.
