About Us
We provide short stays at a house on Neithrop Avenue in Banbury, for older people and younger adults who need somewhere properly supported to stay for a while. The people who come to us include those living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities, autistic people, people with physical disabilities and people with loss of sight or hearing.
Short breaks do a good deal of quiet work. They give a relative who provides care at home the rest that makes it possible to carry on. They give somebody a change of scene and company they might not otherwise have. They can help a person regain confidence after an illness, and they let a family find out what being supported elsewhere is actually like before any larger decision is made.
Because stays are short, we have to learn quickly, so we ask a great deal before somebody arrives: how they like things done, what settles them, what they would rather do without and who they want us to ring. For people living with dementia and for autistic people, keeping to the person's own routine matters far more than fitting them into ours.
Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall.
If you are thinking about a short break for yourself or someone in your family, please get in touch and come and see the house.
