About Us

Stoneleigh is a residential care home in Weston super Mare, providing a permanent home for older people who can no longer manage safely on their own. We are a house rather than an institution, and the day here has the ordinary shape of meals, company, fresh air and rest.

Our care is residential rather than nursing. We help with washing and dressing, medication, eating well and moving about safely, and we call in community health professionals whenever something more clinical is needed. Just as important are the things that are harder to put in a care plan: conversation, being listened to, and somebody noticing when a resident seems quieter or less well than usual. We keep an eye on how people are eating and sleeping, because those are often the first signs that something needs attention.
