About Delph House
Delph House is a residential care home in Wisbech. We look after older people who need daily care, including many people living with dementia, and we also support people with physical disabilities, people with a visual or hearing impairment, and younger adults who need residential care. We try to keep the house running at a human pace. People get up when they wake, eat food they recognise and enjoy, and spend their days as they choose. For someone living with dementia, familiar faces and a routine that holds together matter more than anything complicated, and so does having enough time that nobody is hurried. Respite stays are part of what we do, for a family carer needing a rest or for someone recovering after a spell in hospital. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission was requires improvement. We would rather say that plainly than leave you to find it. We know which parts of our work were not good enough for the people living here, we are working through them with our team, and we are ready to show you what has changed rather than simply describe it. If you are considering us for a relative, ask us about it directly and we will give you a straight answer. You are welcome to visit on an ordinary day and talk to the people who live here.
