About Us
The Limes is a residential care home in Norwich, Norfolk, providing a permanent home for adults who need care and support with everyday life. We try to keep the atmosphere domestic rather than institutional, because that is what most people actually want.
Our care is residential rather than nursing. We help with personal care, medication, meals, mobility and company, and we bring in community health professionals when something more clinical is needed. Many of our residents live with dementia, and we rely on continuity above all: familiar staff who know a person's history, a routine that does not keep shifting and reassurance given as often as it is needed. We also support younger adults, planning their interests and routines on their own terms. Respite stays are available for families needing a planned break from caring at home.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We would rather set that out here ourselves than have a family come across it later and wonder why we kept quiet. The areas identified are where our effort is going at present. If you are considering The Limes for someone you care about, please visit on an ordinary day, speak to residents and relatives, and ask us about it directly.
