About Leigham Lodge
Leigham Lodge is a care home in Lambeth, and we think of it first as somewhere people live rather than somewhere people are looked after. Our focus is residential care for adults with a learning disability or autism, and the day here is shaped by the people in it. Some of those we support have lived with us for years and know the place inside out. Others come to us for respite, perhaps while a family carer takes a break, and we work hard to make a short stay feel settled rather than unsettling. Being in London matters to us. Shops, cafes, parks, colleges and local groups are all within reach, and we encourage people to use them. Support here is about making ordinary life possible, whether that means getting to a regular activity, managing money, cooking a favourite meal or having privacy when it is wanted. We are led by what each person tells us, in whatever way they communicate, and we pay attention when preferences change. Our staff work closely with families, social workers and health professionals, because good support rarely comes from one place alone. We keep communication open and straightforward, and we would always rather raise something early than let a small worry grow. The Care Quality Commission currently rates us good overall. That reflects the steady, everyday work of the team, and we keep looking at how we can do better. If you are considering a long stay or a period of respite with us, please get in touch. You are welcome to visit, meet the people who live here and see whether it feels like the right fit.
