About Us
La Rosa Residential Care Home provides residential care in Lambeth for adults, including younger adults, with particular experience of supporting people with mental health needs. We also offer planned respite stays.
We try to provide the sort of place where somebody can settle at their own pace. That means a calm and predictable environment, staff who are consistent and unflustered, and support that is steady rather than intrusive. We help with personal care and medicines where that is needed, with meals and the running of the house, and with the practical business of appointments, letters, money and the many small things that become difficult when somebody is unwell.
We ought to be straightforward about our inspection position. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission was requires improvement. We are not going to present that as a misunderstanding. It reflected real shortfalls, and our manager and staff team have been working through the findings, with tighter medicines practice, clearer record keeping, more training and supervision, and regular internal checks so that gaps are found by us rather than by an inspector.
That work is not finished and we will not claim otherwise. If you are considering a place here for somebody, please visit, ask exactly what has changed since the inspection, and talk to the people living here while you are in the building.
