About Deepdene House

Deepdene House is a residential care home in Lambeth, south London, and we support adults who need help with daily living, including adults living with mental health conditions. Ours is a home rather than an institution and we work hard to keep it feeling that way, with people coming and going, using the kitchen, having visitors and organising their own time as far as they are able. Good mental health support is mostly a matter of consistency. We work with the same people over long periods, we learn what a difficult week looks like for each person and what tends to help, and we stay in close contact with community mental health teams, GPs and social workers so that nothing falls between the gaps. Some of the people living here are working towards greater independence and eventually a tenancy of their own, and we plan with them rather than for them. We also take respite bookings, whether to give a family carer a planned break or to offer a period of extra support at a time when someone is finding things hard. Being in Lambeth means shops, buses, parks and appointments are all close at hand, and we encourage people to stay connected to the parts of London they know and the people they know there. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you would like to visit or ask about availability, please get in touch.
