About Us
The Radcliffe is a residential care home in Mirfield, supporting older people including those living with dementia, people with physical disabilities and people with sight or hearing loss. We also welcome younger adults and offer respite stays.
Our work is the ordinary business of a day done properly. Helping somebody get up and dressed in the way they prefer, serving food worth looking forward to, making sure there is company when it is wanted and quiet when it is not, and noticing quickly when a person is not themselves.
For people living with dementia we keep the constants steady. Familiar faces, a predictable shape to the day, and staff who follow a person's pace rather than imposing their own. For people with a physical disability or with sight or hearing loss, the practical detail is what matters most, from equipment that fits to belongings staying exactly where they were left.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We would rather set that out here than have a family come across it later. We know what was identified, work is under way on it, and we will go through the detail with anybody who asks.
Respite stays are available as well. Please come and visit on a normal day, talk to residents and relatives, and form your own view of the home.
