About Old Rectory Care Home
Here at Old Rectory Care Home, we are proud to sit at the heart of the Romney Marsh community in Kent, offering a place where residents genuinely feel at home. Our most recent Care Quality Commission rating is Good, which reflects the consistent effort our whole team puts into making sure every person in our care is treated with dignity, kindness and respect. We support a wide range of needs under one roof. Older adults and those living with dementia are very much at the centre of what we do, and we work hard to create an environment that feels calm, familiar and reassuring. We also support residents with mental health needs, physical disabilities, and visual or hearing impairments, and we welcome younger adults who need residential care tailored to their stage of life. For those who need a shorter stay, we offer respite care that gives family members and carers the rest they sometimes need, while ensuring their loved one is in safe and capable hands. Romney Marsh itself is a wonderfully distinctive part of Kent, and we think that sense of place matters. Whether residents are enjoying the views, spending time in our communal spaces or simply having a quiet moment with a member of staff over a cup of tea, we want life here to feel meaningful and unhurried. Every person who comes to live with us, even for a short time, brings their own story, preferences and routines. We take time to get to know each resident properly, because good care cannot be delivered from a distance. Families are always welcome to be involved, and we encourage open conversations so that everyone feels informed and included. If you would like to find out more about life at Old Rectory, please do get in touch. We are always happy to talk.
