About Us
Here at Cornelia Manor RCH, we provide residential care for older people and adults in the heart of Newport on the Isle of Wight. Our home supports a wide range of needs, including dementia care, physical disability support, care for younger adults, and short term respite stays, so whether someone is joining us permanently or just for a little while, we want them to feel genuinely at home from the moment they arrive.
We know that choosing a care home is one of the most significant decisions a family can make, and we do not take that trust lightly. Our team takes the time to get to know each person as an individual, understanding their routines, preferences, and what matters most to them day to day. Good care, in our view, is built on those relationships and on truly listening.
For residents living with dementia, we work hard to create an environment that feels calm, familiar, and reassuring. We think carefully about how we communicate, how we structure the day, and how we support both residents and their families through what can be a challenging journey.
Our home has been rated Good by the Care Quality Commission, which reflects the effort our whole team puts in each day. We are proud of that rating, though we are always looking at how we can do better and improve the experience for everyone in our care.
Newport is a lovely base, with the wider island on the doorstep, and we enjoy making the most of that whether through trips out or simply the sense of community that comes from being part of this island life.
