About 82 Bear Road

Ours is a small residential care home in Feltham supporting adults with a learning disability and autistic adults. It is an ordinary house on an ordinary street, and that is deliberate. The people who live here are part of the neighbourhood rather than set apart from it. Support is worked out with each person. For some that means practical help with personal care, cooking and looking after their own space. For others it is about getting out to college, work, sport or the things they enjoy, managing money, and having someone reliable alongside in situations that might otherwise feel too much. We take real care over how each person communicates and over what in the house helps them feel settled, because those two things prevent more difficulty than any amount of intervention afterwards. We also offer respite stays, which can give a family a planned break and can let someone get to know us gradually before anything longer is considered. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We keep checking with the people who live here, in whatever way works for each of them, that they are happy with how things are going, and we act on what they tell us. If you would like to visit and see whether this could be the right place, please get in touch.
