About Us

We are a residential care home near Ross On Wye, supporting older people and younger adults, including adults with a learning disability or autism and people living with mental health conditions. We also offer respite stays for people who need support for a period rather than permanently.

Supporting people whose needs differ this much only works if you start from the individual. For some of the people who live here, what is needed is largely practical, help with personal care, medication, meals and getting about. For others it is a day that runs to a predictable shape, warning before anything changes, and staff who understand that a routine can be the thing holding everything else together.

We would rather somebody did something for themselves slowly than had it done for them quickly, even when that is less tidy and takes longer.

We should be open about the regulator rather than leave you to find out later. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We are working through the points raised with us, and if you are considering a place or a short stay here, please ask about it directly and we will tell you what has changed and what is still in hand.

The most useful thing you can do is come and see the place, talk to staff and see how people here seem. Please get in touch and we will arrange a visit.
