About Us
Here at Alma Lodge, we are a residential care home situated in Eastbourne, East Sussex, and we care for older people who need support with day to day living. Whether someone is joining us for a longer term placement or coming to us for a short respite stay, we aim to make sure they feel genuinely at home with us.
We specialise in older person care, residential care and respite care, and we take the time to get to know each person as an individual. What matters to the people we support matters to us, and we work to make sure that routines, preferences and personal histories are at the heart of how we provide care rather than an afterthought.
We are honest about where we are as a service. Our most recent CQC inspection resulted in a rating of requires improvement, and we are not shying away from that. We have taken the findings seriously and are actively working through the areas identified, making real changes to the way we operate. We believe the people who live with us and their families deserve that transparency, and we are committed to demonstrating through our actions that things are moving in the right direction.
Eastbourne is a lovely part of the country, and being based here means we are well placed for families visiting from across East Sussex and beyond. We know that choosing a care home for yourself or for someone you love is not a decision taken lightly, and we welcome anyone who would like to come and look around, ask questions and get a genuine feel for who we are.
If you would like to find out more about life at Alma Lodge or speak to someone about whether we might be the right fit, please do get in touch. We are always happy to have that conversation.
